Chickens are one of my favorite subjects to paint. This particular bird belonged to a Collector of my work and when I saw it I broke out laughing. What an outstanding plumage and it looks like it thinks it looks pretty special , who knows maybe even the envy of all the other birds in the flock. I am a hat lover and this truly makes me wonder if I looked as special as this in any of MY hats.
Love it! That sideways stare says it all! The colors are perfect for that attitude - saucy red and sultry black!!
