Quiet Woods 8 x 10 Oil on canvas panel
I feel I can hear the quiet looking into and through the trees deeper and deeper. The colors are soft and subtle giving beauty to the overcast day that here in Minnesota adds to winter walks in and near our wooded areas.

Willow Reflections
Willow Reflections 4 x 6 in. Oil on panel
These willows hang over the edge of a local lake and we drive by them many times a week. They have a beauty in all seasons of the year. This year a lingering Fall kept the deep golden orange color far longer than usual and I finally captured it first on film, then in paint

Wild Wine
Wild Wine 6 x 8 oil on linen panel
I always am attraced to wild vines, there is a grace and flow to them that is like a dance. These happen to be wild grape vines which are not only beautiful to paint but the grapes make fabulous jelly. This is also done with palette knife work. predominanting.

Grounded
Grounded oil on panel 6 x 8
Another palette knife painting am loving the feel of the texture and the clarity of color. Am loving the change from brush to knife just for the CHANGE alone, good to shake things up once in awhile.

Fall Jewels
Fall Jewels, oil on panel 6 x 8
This began as a plein air painting in Carlos State Park very near where we live. However, when I got it into the studio the colors were too bright so reworked it in more subtle colors and am pleased with how it depicts the area as I remembered it.

A Touch of Sun
This is a plein air painting done in two sessions, same time of day a couple of days apart. There is a small damn on this pond and river, fish are swimming and can be seen clearly in the clear wateo enjoy in the filtered sunlight with a mellow breeze every now and then.
Little Green Apples
Little Green Apples 5 x 7 oil on canvas panel
Another all palette knife piece, so much fun, this took a bit longer than the pine tree but I think it was worth the effort, I am enjoying the change of pace from the brush.
