Born and raised in the rich soil country of the Red River Valley of the North, I never tired of the beauty of the clean rows of new seedlings coming up, then the waving grain and then the golden grain swallowed up by the combine like a monster with a voracious appetite.

I love my old bottles with a few flowers for a casual bouquet. I was potting my mums and a few broke off so put them in one of my collection and  I had  a painting waiting to happen
so I got out my paints and here it is.

Once again I am mesmerized by the color and the reflections of the trees and vegetation in a near by  shallow river. You can feel the air change as summer nears an end.

A typical scene on one of our many lakes. I enjoy painting the quiet still water with the landscape reflecting in subtle colors in the water. There is a poetry in  this that I continue to enjoy.

Lucky

Lucky, a wonderful Wheaton Terrier belonging to an author Friend of mine. Lucky visits schools and churches giving Lucky Lessons on good touching and kind and thought words. Teaching respect to young people. Lucky Lessons are the books and his owner took a photo of Him with glasses, too cute for me not to paint and give to his owner. Enjoy
