Cattail Fluff
Cattail Fluff 6 x 8 Oil on linen panel SOLD
As a child I loved to pick the newly burst cattails and tickle under my nose with the soft down bursting forth. The tall stately cattail becomes a stem of fluff to be cast by the wind so there will be seed spread for a new patch in the Spring.

Field Patterns
Born and raised in the rich soil country of the Red River Valley of the North, I never tired of the beauty of the clean rows of new seedlings coming up, then the waving grain and then the golden grain swallowed up by the combine like a monster with a voracious appetite.

Quiet Woods
Quiet Woods 8 x 10 Oil on canvas panel
I feel I can hear the quiet looking into and through the trees deeper and deeper. The colors are soft and subtle giving beauty to the overcast day that here in Minnesota adds to winter walks in and near our wooded areas.

Willow Reflections
Willow Reflections 4 x 6 in. Oil on panel
These willows hang over the edge of a local lake and we drive by them many times a week. They have a beauty in all seasons of the year. This year a lingering Fall kept the deep golden orange color far longer than usual and I finally captured it first on film, then in paint
